Parent Support Services
Parenting Alone
Being a parent of twins isn't easy; being a single parent of twins is even harder.
As a single parent of twin girls I have found the Christchurch Multiple Birth Club an invaluable source of friendship, advice and information. I first joined when I was pregnant and found the meetings and ante natal classes very helpful.
I have since made lots of new friends and am now coordinator of one of our playgroups.
All the Mums and Dads I have met have been very supportive and I know I can ring any of them at any time if I ever have any problems which is always a huge relief when you're on your own. I am the Parenting Alone contact and the Hire Equipment Coordinator for our club too. I've had plenty of experience I can offer lots of advice and tips on how to cope as well as some information on where to get help if needed.
Sometimes it's just knowing there's someone to ring which can make all the difference.
